A day with the Sales team

Working for Miller Brands is a real opportunity.  We have the support of our multinational parent company but also all the benefits of working for a smaller organisation.

Morning

morning coffee

I start my day with a quick breakfast and coffee on the way to meet my first customer. I always double check my presentation figures for the meeting to ensure I’m well prepared for any questions. Hopefully the sun is shining as that always puts me in a good mood!

Mid Morning

with a customer

I am supporting new draught installations for Pilsner Urquell and Peroni. I speak to customers directly and respond to requests for stocking our beers. I believe Sales is all about relationships, and ensuring that our customers get the best quality and service.  Our marketing materials, insights and sales data all help us to communicate strong selling messages to potential or existing customers and to demonstrate how we can add value to their businesses.

Afternoon

catch up on emails

Being in Sales requires a strong degree of organisation and pre planning is essential. I set aside time each week to do my administration from home, when I also go through my expenses. Sometimes of course I need to reorganise meetings between customer visits or quickly respond to a query – this is when being able to access information from my laptop whilst on the go becomes really essential.

End of day

meeting
We have team meetings on a monthly basis. I always plan other meetings around them as this allows me to touch base with the marketing team or others, to share my thoughts about a new promotion or activation – working cross-functionally is very important in Miller Brands.  When I am in the office, the best bit of the day is having a chat with other colleagues in the bar over a well deserved perfectly poured pint of Pilsner Urquell!
