Responsible Marketing 

Miller Brands is committed to responsibly marketing alcohol products. For us, responsible marketing means targeting our brands for responsible adult consumption amongst those who have already made the choice to consume alcohol.

In addition to complying with UK rules and regulations governing the marketing of alcoholic drinks, our company Policy on Commercial Communication, which applies to all SABMiller subsidiaries, sets out the minimum standards by which we operate. This code includes the provision that all our commercial communication is legal, decent, honest and truthful and that it conforms to accepted principles of fair competition and good business practice. The code covers advertising in all media (including the internet and text messaging), packaging, promotions, product placement, merchandising and sponsorship. You can download this code by clicking the link on the left. In the UK we are also signatories to the Portman Group Code on the Naming, Packaging and Promotion of Alcoholic Drinks which places additional obligations upon us to ensure that our marketing meets best practice in this area.

In order to ensure that we meet the requirements of these codes and adhere to both the spirit and the letter of the law, we conduct regular staff training, which also includes the external agencies that we employ.

Internally we have also established robust processes to ensure we are meeting our responsibilities in this area. Our Sales and Marketing Responsibility Committee is  comprised of senior directors from across the company, including our Managing Director, that meets every week to asses all marketing activities for adherence to both the letter and the spirit of these standards.
