Workplace Responsibility 

We expect our employees to aspire to high levels of conduct in relation to alcohol consumption. We deliver an internal training programme to all staff which enables us to communicate our Employee Alcohol Policy and also introduces our employees to key alcohol issues in the UK, such as underage drinking and binge drinking, as well as the latest on the Government’s national alcohol strategy.

We want our staff to be well versed in alcohol responsibility issues, whether they work in Finance, IT, Marketing or elsewhere and the training allows us to infuse knowledge throughout the organisation and to set a standard for knowledge and behaviour. All new employees are inducted on the programme and we also regularly update our staff, via internal communications channels, about current issues of alcohol responsibility.

In the UK, we are also signatories of the Portman Group Code on the Naming, Packaging and Promotion of Alcoholic Drinks. In order to ensure that we meet the requirements of these codes, we regularly train our staff on the provisions contained within them. We have also set up robust internal processes to ensure we are meeting our responsibilities in this area.
